From vpevents@digital-liberation.ca Thu Jul 28 15:05:16 2005 Date: Thu, 28 Jul 2005 15:05:35 -0600 From: Adam Wolfe Gordon To: eln@linux.ab.ca Subject: LSD Fall Installfest For your upcoming events: Liberating Students Digtally, a student group at the University of Alberta, will be holding their second annual Fall Installfest on September 16 and 17 in the Athletics Lounge, located in the middle of HUB Mall. Installs will take place between 9AM and 5PM on both days. The "default" distro will be Ubuntu 5.04 (Hoary Hedgehog), but we will have a number of other Linux distributions (and BSD) on hand to accommodate special requests. We are also prepared to do Mac/PPC installs and repairs/maintenance. We welcome everyone to the event, which will also feature some demo computers and displays. If you'd like an install, all you need to bring is your computer. LSD will provide monitors, keyboards, mice and speakers. Anyone interested in volunteering should use the registration system that will soon be on our website. If you'd like an install done, you can pre-register on our website (web registration is not open yet but will be soon) or drop by on the day of the event.
