Great for intermediates: Reminds you of all of the things you may have forgotten throughout the years. May be a good book for the determined beginner because it reminds you to keep (or get back) to the basics.

Tons of tips and tricks, making the impossible, possible, this book has it all. It covers most applications required for photo retouching, so it's not just for commercial photo retouchers, but for everyone who deals with photo issues everyday.

It can be a great book for reference since it's not a follow-along tutorial. A short, but loaded read. I am an intermediate and I think I learned something new every page. If not something brand new, then a different way of doing things.
